Michigan Trucking Association developed Periodic Inspection Training (PIT) to instruct mechanics on the proper techniques and requirements necessary to perform periodic inspections on their own fleets and as for-hire inspectors. MTA’s PIT class is the only one offered through a state-sponsored organization. Participants receive verification of having completed the course that may be used for audit purposes.
